CyberLink PowerDVD is a software disc player with all the features and controls of a regular living-room disc player. CyberLink PowerDVD 9.6 3D offers feature-rich navigation controls for an interactive and tailored viewing experience.
CyberLink PowerDVD supports the playback of Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, VCDs and a number of video and audio file formats. You can also play back AVCHD and AVCREC discs in some versions of CyberLink PowerDVD 9.6 3D and above.
CyberLink PowerDVD is a 3rd Party Application. Dell Technical Support will provide basic support for this product, limited to software installation and verifying fuctionality of the Dell Hardware.
Software installation is supported per Dell Standard Terms and Conditions. The customer is responsible for custom configurations including security parameters, encryption, radio and Ethernet settings and will be referred to documentation, ISP, ISV or to their internal IT departments (when applicable).

Cyberlink PowerDVD should already be installed on your system if you have selected it when purchasing your Dell system. If you have had to re-install your OS or wish to reinstall the Application, please follow the steps below:
Download the file from "My Dell Downloads" or "Dell Digital Delivery". Information about both of these locations can be found in the following articles: My Dell Downloads or Dell Digital Delivery or insert the installation DVD (if available).
Click Next in the Welcome to PowerDVD Installation screen (Figure 1).

Check all the boxes for Video Files, Image Files and Music Files and Click Next to Set PowerDVD as default player (Figure 2).

Click 'Yes, I Accept' in the License Agreement screen (Figure 3).

Enter your User Name and Company Name and Click Next (if applicable).
Click Launch PowerDVD in the final screen (Figure 4).

Software upgrades and enhancements are periodically available from Cyberlink. CyberLink PowerDVD will automatically prompt the user when either is available.
To upgrade CyberLink PowerDVD manually, follow the steps below:
Open the Upgrade Information dialog box by doing one of the following:
Click the icon.
Press the 'I' key on the keyboard when PowerDVD is running.
Click the icon and then click Upgrade.
Click the feature set you would like to upgrade to.
A web browser window opens, where you can either download the available free updates or purchase product upgrades and enhancements as required.
