To enable customers to play DVDs, Dell will ship this software pre-installed on all Windows 8 systems. This software includes tools to perform various functions such as video editing, movie creation, burning discs, and backup and recovery.
There are two versions of this software — Essentials and Premium. By default, the Essentials version will be installed on Windows 8 systems. The Premium version will be available for customers as an upgrade after the point-of-sale. Each version has a collection of tools to carry out different tasks.
