Summary: Unexpected LUN ID's when using Unisphere to provision devices in a masking view. Works ok with Solutions Enabler

Article Content

Symptoms

Customer is attempting to add 2 new volumes 2426-2427 to a storage group. The "Set Dynamic LUN Address" dialog box shows starting LUN 26 and provides 26,27 for 2 volumes (this is what customer wants.)

Then selected the "Apply Starting LUN" button - message states "LUNs saved successfully." Following that, selected OK to run the provisioning task. No errors.

Checked in the masking view details path/SG screens, and shows LUN ID# 3 instead of 26/27. Customer performed GUI refreshes.

Cause

The volume is an SRDF type.

Resolution

Provision LUNS with desired LUN ID, using SymCLI as a workaround.

Fixed in the Unisphere for PowerMax 9.2.1.x release.
