Symptoms

RAID 阵列可用空间小于预期。

受影响的配置：

  • 配备 IRST RAID 的 Precision 7920 机架式工作站

Cause

使用 IRST BIOS RAID 实用程序创建 RAID 1 阵列。

创建的阵列仅使用 95% 的可用空间。

Resolution

IRST 实用程序在创建 RAID 期间自动保留 5% 的开销存储空间，因此按设计正常工作。

但是，IRST 实用程序确实允许覆盖 5% 的准备金。

要覆盖此要求，请使用 IRST 而不是 Dell BIOS RAID 实用程序。

在覆盖空间要求期间，将生成一条消息“WARNING：为向下舍入到通用磁盘大小而保留的空间将丢失，因为将使用 100% 的可用阵列空间。”
