PowerFlex 3.X: vCenterとPowerFlex Manager間のESXiホスト名の不一致により、RCMアップグレードが停止する

Summary: PowerFlex Manager 3.6以前のリリースでは、PowerFlex Managerで短いホスト名が使用され、vCenterで完全修飾ホスト名が使用されている場合、RCMのアップグレードが失敗する可能性があります。

Symptoms

  • 完全修飾ホスト名(FQDN)を使用してvCenterに追加されているESXiホスト。
example:esxi-01.xxxxx.com 
  • [New service]または[Add existing service]。 
  • PowerFlex Managerを使用してRCMアップグレードを開始すると、PowerFlex Managerでは、vCenterインベントリーのESXiホスト名と比較して、短いESXiホスト名がサービス中であることがわかります。 
  • PowerFlex Managerは名前を照合できないため、次のエラーで失敗します。

Cause

1.ESXiホストは、完全修飾ホスト名を使用してvCenterに追加されます。
2.PowerFlex Managerは、サービスとインベントリーに短いホスト名を認識します。deployment.jsonファイルは、esx_hostname.
というフィールドに短いホスト名を登録します。3.PowerFlex Managerは、vCenterでesx_hostname フィールドと完全に一致するものがあるかどうかをチェックしますが、vCenterはFQDNしか認識しないため、見つけることができません
4.エラーが表示され、アップグレードが停止します。

Resolution

オプション1:
最新のPFxMバージョン3.7以降のリリースにアップグレードして、修正を適用します。

オプション2: 
  1. PowerFlex Managerのサービス ペインで、Serviceを選択し>Remove the service from PowerFlex managerをクリックします。  
  2. PowerFlex ManagerのSetting > Networks>でNetwork typeを選択し>Hypervisor ManagementEditをクリックします。 [DNS Suffix]でDNSサフィックスを削除し>Saveをクリックします。 
  3. インベントリーを再実行し、成功するまで待ちます。 
  4. サービスを既存のサービスとして追加し直します。 
  5. サービスが再び追加され、緑色になったら、RCMのアップグレードを続行します。
