How to Schedule Reporting Emails with Dell Security Management Server

To configure a recurring report using the Security Management Server administration console, do the following.

Note: Reference How to Access the Dell Data Security / Dell Data Protection Server Administration Console for how to connect to the administration console.
  1. In the administration console, select the Reporting > Manage Reports option from the left menu.

  1. Select the type of report that is needed from the Create New Report dropdown.

  1. If needed, modify the default report settings with the dropdowns.

  1. Select Save As to complete your report.

  1. Create a Report Name and provide a description of the report then click the Save button.

  1. Confirm the custom report saved with the header at the top of the report.

  1. Click the Schedule button to set times to automatically run the report.

  1. From the schedule page, click Add Schedule to select when to run the report and who the recipients are.

  1. Confirm that the report is scheduled as expected.

Note: The report is sent as an attachment on an email whose subject line is the name of the report. The email comes from a noreply address.

  1. Verify that the report is received at the scheduled time using email.
