Symptoms

- Alienware 7.1 Gaming Headset | AW510H
The microphone in their Alienware AW510 headset picks up internal sounds.
Example: The microphone picks up sounds playing through the transducer of the headset, when using the microphone while listening to a song or a video.
Cause
This is expected behavior due to the close proximity of the microphone to the transducer on this model. The large, high-sensitivity transducer on this model is used to deliver good bass and performance. The sponge seal is not able to mask and absorb all the sound near the microphone. Increasing the playback volume in headphones increases the likelihood that the microphone picks up the sound.
Resolution
This is expected behavior.
