Symptoms

Test tls_idrac is one of a series of health-checks that can be run from VxRail Manager and VxVerify, prior to an upgrade. This check attempts to validate the version of TLS in iDRAC. It is possible that a later version of TLS has been enabled than can be supported at that code level (such as TLS 1.3).

Pass

The TLS version is supported.
Warning

Some test profiles could return a warning if no TLS could be read (other profiles list this as a pass).
Failure 2 The version of TLS is not supported at this code level.
Critical 3 There are no critical responses for this test.

The full results of this test may not fit into a single line of the summary table, but can be checked in the VxVerify log.

Cause

It is possible that someone has enabled the TLS 1.3 and higher setting in iDRAC as part of security hardening. This is not supported in any current levels of VxRail software.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, access the iDRAC user interface and change the TLS setting to TLS 1.2 and Higher.
