Symptoms

 As part of the disk firmware upgrade, the PUHC checks if the cluster has a Samsung PM1643/PM1643a SAS drive with the firmware port locked.
If a drive with a locked firmware port is detected, the following message is displayed "Found Samsung SAS drives with firmware port locked. KB#000207951. Please contact your service provider. (drive_fw_port_check)".

Cause

The Samsung SAS drive PM1643 and PM1643A SAS TCG Enterprise SEDs were shipped with firmware port locked from manufacturing, and, as a result, the drive firmware upgrade for these drives may fail. Dell Support can resolve this issue if a locked firmware port is detected.
