Eigenaars van Dell laptops kunnen een LCD-probleem ondervinden. Het scherm wordt uitgeschakeld wanneer de actieve stylus zich te dicht bij specifieke locaties op het toetsenbord en de palmsteun bevindt.
Het LCD-paneel gaat in de moderne stand-bystand wanneer de Dell Pro Premium Active Pen PN7522W op de open laptop blijft rusten.
Cause
Laptops gebruiken Hall-sensoren onder het toetsenbord en de palmsteun en in de LCD-bezel om te detecteren wanneer het deksel van de laptop is gesloten. Als u de klep van de laptop sluit, wordt het lcd-scherm uitgeschakeld.
De Dell Pro Premium Active Pen PN7522W bevat twee N54 magneten. De resterende inductie van die magneten ligt rond de 14,5 tot 14,9. Dit komt overeen met de magnetische inductie die de Hall-sensor gebruikt om te detecteren wanneer het deksel gesloten is.
De Hall-sensor wordt geactiveerd wanneer de stylus in de buurt van bepaalde delen van het toetsenbord en touchpad wordt geplaatst. Het LCD-paneel wordt uitgeschakeld en gaat naar de moderne stand-bymodus.
