Symptoms
When using a Bluetooth headset mic arm or the mute button on a Bluetooth headset, the headset speakers become muted.
When muting the bluetooth headset mic, the conferencing application will not recognize the action, and still show as unmuted.
Affected:
- All Bluetooth Headsets - Issue only occurs when the headset is connected through Bluetooth.
- Windows 10 and 11 with Realtek audio driver version 6.0.9472.1.
- Microsoft Teams and Zoom (other conferencing applications expected to be affected as well).
Cause
This issue happens because of an improper graph id when mute is applied.
Resolution
Update the Realtek Audio Driver
To resolve this issue, update the Realtek audio driver to the versions listed below or newer from the Dell Support Site.
