Symptoms

Impossibile ripristinare la VM utilizzando il restore ad accesso immediato o il ripristino a livello di file. L'interfaccia utente di PPDM mostra il seguente errore: 
ARV0007: VM Direct engine is unable to restore the virtual machine 'unknown' on vCenter 'unknown'.

Restore of this virtual machine to the destination vCenter was unsuccessful.

 Review the error details and summary log in the Jobs window, or export the job logs and review the log files for more information. If the issue persists, contact Dell Customer Support.

Limitation of NFS volumes is exceeded on esx01.mylab.local

vmdm.log presenta il seguente messaggio di errore:

L'host esxi non dispone di volumi montati su NFS. Inoltre, il server vCenter è "sconosciuto" nel messaggio di errore.

Cause

Sconosciuto Possibile danneggiamento della memoria dei servizi PPDM.

Resolution

1. ssh nel server ppdm come utente
"admin" 2. Riavviare i seguenti servizi: 
      vmdm restart
      vmware-service restart
      discovery-service restart
3. Attendere alcuni minuti affinché i servizi si avviino completamente e quindi riprovare il ripristino ad accesso immediato/ripristino a livello di file.

NOTA: Prima di riavviare i servizi di cui sopra, accertarsi che non siano in esecuzione backup attivi. Il riavvio di questi servizi quando i backup sono in esecuzione farà sì che i backup vengano annullati.
