Symptoms
Increased fan noise arises on PowerEdge 15G servers equipped with Dell Intel X710 OCP3 network card after updating to iDRAC version 7.00.30.00.
The fan Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) remains above 50% even when the system is in idle mode and the ambient temperature is around 20°C.

Dell Intel X710-T2L/T4L OCP3 (Part Number: VMFKR, 50RV4) cards:
Update the OCP3 card firmware to version 22.5.7 or later, After the update, consider rebooting the system. -
Dell Intel X710 OCP3 2P/4P (Part Number: YJYK1, VF81P) cards:
Update the OCP3 card firmware to version 23.0.8. After the update, consider rebooting the system.
Workaround:
Downgrade the iDRAC firmware to version 6.10.80.00.
