Symptoms

I server PowerEdge R860 e R960 configurati con una CPU MCC e un DIMM da 96 GB non riescono a riconoscere la memoria. Viene visualizzato l'errore "No memory found". Ciò indica che la CPU MCC non supporta un DIMM da 96 GB.

Cause

In base alle specifiche Intel per il supporto DIMM da 96 GB, solo la CPU Extreme Core Count (XCC) supporta questo tipo di DIMM. La CPU MCC no. Pertanto, per qualsiasi convalida che coinvolga un DIMM da 96 GB, è necessario utilizzare una CPU XCC anziché una CPU MCC.

Resolution

RDIMM DDR5 da 96 GB è supportato su R860 e R960 a partire dalla versione del BIOS 1.6.6 solo con CPU XCC.

Nota: Esaminare le seguenti regole:

DIMM da 96 GB è supportato con i processori Xeon XCC (84xxH), non con i processori MCC (64xxH).
