For troubleshooting purpose, Citrix support might ask to disable EDT and test the connectivity using TCP instead of UDP. Instead of disabling at the server Virtual Desktop Accelerator (VDA) level, the EDT can be disabled on thin client for testing purposes.

EDT is a Citrix-proprietary transport protocol built on top of the User Datagram Protocol (UDP). It delivers a superior user experience on challenging long-haul connections while maintaining server scalability. EDT improves data throughput for all ICA virtual channels on unreliable networks, providing a better and more consistent user experience.

To disable EDT, set the HDXoverUDP attribute to off in the [Network\UDT] section of the ~/.ICAClient/All_Regions.ini.

This can be configured in Wyse Management Suite (WMS) under the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) configuration editor section.
