- The AW720H headset firmware must be updated to version 5.0 or later. Version 5.0 is part of the Dell Support download for version A01-00, A01-00 released on May 29, 2023.
- The AW720H dongle firmware must be updated to version 3.8 or later. Version 3.0 is part of the Dell Support download for version A01-00, A01-00 released on May 29, 2023.
This can be done either by using the Alienware Command Center (AWCC) or by downloading and running the firmware updater from Support for Alienware Dual Mode Wireless Gaming Headset | AW720H Drivers & Downloads.
- Connect the headset to a computer using the charging cable. Run through the firmware update process to update the headset firmware.
- Next, connect the headset to a computer using the dongle. Run through the firmware update process to update the dongle firmware.
Note: You must update both the headset firmware to version 5.0 or later and the dongle firmware to version 3.8 or later. Updating only one firmware instead of both may cause the headset to have issues.
