Dell Wireless Headset user may notice that the media playback using Internet browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox, and so on automatically stops. It may take 10 seconds to resume playback after taking out the headset. If putting the headset on again more than 10 seconds later, the resume playback function may not work. They may also experience the headset microphone muted, and the touch controls disabled.
This is working as designed. Media play back on the Internet browser is intentionally limited. The headset has an integrated wearing detection that pauses the music and mutes the microphone during a call if you take off the headset. Users can temporarily pause music by lifting one ear cup from your head. Playback resumes automatically when you return the ear cup on your ear.
Turn off the Wear Detection settings in Dell Peripheral Manager (DPeM) version 1.7.3 for Windows user and Dell Audio Mobile App (DAMA) 1.0.1 for mobile phone user to resolve the headset mute issue, or playback pause issue.
To download and install DPeM, reference How to Download and Install Dell Drivers. To download and install the DAMA, go to Apple App Store or Google Play store depending on the iPhone or Android phone and search the keywords "Dell Audio."
Wear Detection setting can be customized in DPeM. See the User's Guide for more information Manuals and Documentation for your Dell Product.
