Cause
There is a compatibility issue between the Windows 11 operating system version 24H2 (26100.863) and McAfee version 1.20.228.1.
Resolution
This is a one-time error. It does not recur unless you reinstall the same operating system and version of the McAfee application on the laptop. Once you press the power button to turn the laptop off, it displays the standard shutdown background. Once you restart the laptop, it starts as you would expect and the issue does not happen again.

McAfee Version 1.20.236.1 is available now to install either manually or by letting the laptop autoupdate using Over The Air (OTA) on your laptop. McAfee advise that the future versions of this application include a fix for this problem.
