Chromebook Laptop Does Not Turn on After a Long Period of Being Turned off

Symptoms
The computer may fail to turn on with a battery only after being turned off for an extended period. The issue occurs when a Chromebook's dedicated AC power adapter is not used.
Affected Platforms:
- All Chromebook Laptops
Cause
To support battery health, the battery enters storage mode once the battery is low or at a maximum of three weeks of nonusage. After the battery is in storage mode, the computer cannot boot directly in DC mode.
Resolution
Use the AC adapter that was delivered with the Chromebook after it has been powered off for an extended period.
Note: If the computer is going to be off for an extended time, charge the computer first.
