Symptoms
New Dell Laptops and Dell Laptop replacement top covers may arrive with the new Dell logo. The new logo removes the halo from around the Dell on the center of the top cover.

Cause
Dell Technologies is updating the Dell logo by removing the halo ring on certain platforms. It is part of recent tooling changes that are in line with our product rebranding and life extension initiatives.
Resolution
This is a design update and does not affect the laptops quality, durability, or functionality.
The top covers on Dell laptops are identical in structure, material, and quality with either version of the logo. (Including the halo ring or without the halo ring.)
