INFO: DUEC-Version : 1.7.409 Parsing Catalog : /shared/dell/omc/cifs/idrac/repository/12/22/catalog.xml May 06, 2026 5:06:47 PM com.dell.cm.comparer.DCMCatalog parseCatalog SEVERE: null java.lang.NullPointerException . [ERROR] 2026-05-06 17:07:01.693 [Repository-Task-Pool-2] UpdateMgrImpl - Error creating repository with name Dell Online com.dell.enterprise.core.integration.lib.common.exception.RuntimeCoreException:
Cause
Dell Online Enterprise catalog version 26.04.27 and newer added activation rules for software bundles that require a cold reboot to install. These activation rules are not compatible with older versions of the Dell Update Enterprise Catalog (DUEC) library.
The following table shows the DUEC version and activation rule support for each product version.
| Product | Product Version | DUEC Version | Activation Rule Support |
|---|---|---|---|
| OpenManage Enterprise (OME) | 4.3.x | 1.7.409 | No |
| OpenManage Enterprise (OME) | 4.4.x | 1.7.409 | No |
| OpenManage Enterprise (OME) | 4.5.x | 1.8.416 | Yes |
| OpenManage Enterprise (OME) | 4.6.x | 2.0.43 | Yes |
| OME Modular | 2.20.11 | 1.5.39 | No |
Resolution
Dell Online Enterprise catalog version 26.05.07 has been re-released with these activation rules filtered out. Future catalog releases continue to filter these rules out for the time being. This allows catalog-consuming tools running older versions of DUEC to continue to function.
For OpenManage Enterprise (OME), upgrade to version 4.5.x or newer as soon as possible.
For OpenManage Enterprise (OME) Modular, a long-term solution to update the DUEC library is being investigated. This article is updated as more information becomes available.
