Symptoms

The Share Size filter is missing after the upgrade to PowerProtect Data Manager 20.1.0.0-17, preventing exclusion of replication NAS assets. This affects previously created NAS protection rules with dynamic filters in PowerStore replicated environments. Replication destination shares get included and encounter backup failures with exit status:

ABNA0025: Snapshot path cannot be detected for replication targets.

Cause

The removal of the filter is by design in version 20.1.0.0-17.

Resolution

There is no direct workaround to filter by share size. Reconfigure the dynamic filters to properly select the NAS shares for Protection. If required, contact Dell Support for more details.
