Symptoms

The third party application used for Full Disk Encryption may not be able to complete encryption of the drive. The issue is seen when Secure Boot is enabled in the BIOS.

Cause

Microsoft UEFI CA setting under Boot Configuration in the BIOS is not enabled. This setting is disabled by default.

Resolution

Enable the Microsoft UEFI CA setting in the BIOS for the third party application to complete disk encryption successfully.
