Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise integrates Cylance’s Advanced Threat Protection with Dell Encryption Enterprise (formerly Dell Data Protection) security components as a master installer. This article provides the steps for installing Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise using the master installer.

The master installer can be installed through the user interface (UI) or command-line interface (CLI) switches. Click the appropriate method for more information.

Click the product version for the appropriate installation process. For versioning information, reference How to Identify the Version of the Dell Data Security Master Installer.

To install the product using UI:

  1. Double-click DDSSuite.exe to launch the installer.

  1. In the installer UI, click Next.

End User License Agreement

  1. Input the On-Prem Dell Management Server Name and, optionally, change the Dell Device Server URL.

Note:
  • This UI menu is only available on new installations.
  • On-Prem Dell Management Server Name = Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the Dell Security Management Server
  • The example On-Prem Dell Management Server Name will differ in your environment.
  • Port 8443 is used by default for device activations.
    • This configuration may differ in your environment.
  • Dell Device Server URL must be formatted as https://[domain]:[port]/xapi/.
  1. Optionally, Change the install location and then click Next.

Choose Destination Location

  1. Check the components to be installed and then click Next.

Select Features

Note:
  • Security Framework and Advanced Threat Prevention are required components.
  • During the upgrade, previously installed components are automatically checked.
  1. Click Install to begin the installation.

Ready to Install the Program

  1. Select Yes, I want to restart my computer now and then click Finish.
