Per ripristinare le impostazioni predefinite di S50, attenersi alle istruzioni riportate di seguito.
- Collegarsi a un dispositivo S50N/V tramite console
- Velocità in baud = 9.600
- Dimensione carattere = 8
- Controllo di flusso = Disattivato
- Bit di stop = 1
- Parità = Nessuna
- Spegnere e riaccendere S50 scollegando e ricollegando il cavo di alimentazione oppure digitando reload, quindi yes in modalità exec con privilegi
- Premere un tasto qualsiasi quando richiesto durante il processo di avvio di S50 per entrare in modalità BOOT_USER
