Set or Change the Screen Resolution
Screen Resolution can be adjusted from the Desktop. Invoke Windows Charms by swiping in from the right and choose Start. At the Windows UI Start Screen, enter main Desktop by clicking on the Desktop Title or by pressing the Start Button on the keyboard.
- Right click on the Desktop and select Screen Resolution.
- Point to Resolution.
- Select your desired resolution.
- Click OK.
To select a Display Mode with Screen Resolution in Advanced Settings , follow the steps below:
NOTE: If you do not prefer the chosen resolution then you can either click on Revert or Wait for 15 Secs to undo the screen resolution change and go back to the previous resolution.
- Click on the Advanced Settings link in the Screen Resolution Window.
- In the Adaptor tab, click on List All Modes.
- Select a display mode that you would want for the selected display and click OK.
- Click Apply.
- If the selected screen resolution or display mode suits your requirement, click Keep Changes.
- Click OK in the Screen Resolution Window to close it.
Adjust the Refresh Rate
- Right click on the Desktop and select Screen Resolution.
- Click on the Advanced Settings link in the Screen Resolution Window.
- Select the Monitor tab.
- From the drop-down list, select a suitable refresh rate.
Change the Size of Fonts and Icons
To adjust the size of items in Windows, follow the steps below:
NOTE: If you want to customize your sizing option, Select the Custom Sizing Option Link.
Here you can change the size of the items in the Desktop to a percentage of the existing size or use a ruler for larger font size.
- Navigate to Control Panel and click Display.
- Locate Change the size of all items in the Display Window.
- Select the option (Smaller or Medium) of your choice.
- To change the text size of a particular item on the Desktop, locate Change only the text size.
- Select an appropriate item from the Drop-Down list and click Apply.
