Scenario

I det här scenariot har användaren en PowerFlex 16G-enhet och tar med sin egen Red Hat Enterprise Linux-avbildning för MVM-noderna (PFMP).

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10

PFMP-installationen misslyckas i det andra steget vid 74 %.

Följande fel visas i bedrock.log:

fatal: [host1]: FAILED! => changed=false
 assertion: ansible_failed_task is ot defined and ansible_failed_result is not defined
 evaluated_to: false

Påverkan 

Det gick inte att distribuera PFMP.

Causa

CMO kräver UMASK 022 för korrekt inställning av Helm-diagrammen. UMASK 027 tillhandahåller root med rwx-behörigheter, gruppen med r-x-behörigheter och inga behörigheter för andra.

Resolución

Korrigering:

Ändra maskvärdena på alla tre MVM-noderna (PFMP).

Så här ändrar du UMASK till 0022:

  1. Uppdatera UME-värdet 
vi /etc/login.defs
   Update the line UMASK 027 ---> UMASK 022
   save it.
  1. Läs in konfigurationen:
source /etc/profile
  1. Avsluta skalet och logga in igen

Den senaste konfigurationen uppdateras. #Testning: Om du skapar en ny fil skapas den med 644 behörigheter.

När värdena har ändrats:

  • Återställ installationsprogrammet för PFMP
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/reset_installer.sh
  • Konfigurera installationsprogrammet för PFMP
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/setup_installer.sh
  • Initiera PFMP-installationen
/opt/dell/pfmp/PFMP_Installer/scripts/install_PFMP.sh


I versionskommentarerna till Dell PowerFlex 4.6.x står det följande (sid. 18):

Symptom: The PowerFlex management platform installation process requires that the umask be set to the Linux default (022). If you have changed the default umask setting, the helm images do not have the correct permissions when it comes time to pull the images.
 
Recommended action: Change umask to 022.
