No Sound on your XPS 13 9343 with Windows 10 installed?

 

Are you experiencing No Sound on your XPS 13 9343 systems when you are in the Windows 10 Operating System? Is there no Audio device seen in Device Manager and does reinstalling the Audio driver still not resolve the problem?

Resolution Steps

 

This problem can be resolved by a BIOS settings change. Please follow the instructions below to resolve this problem :

  1. Start your PC and rapidly tap at the <F2> key at the Dell Splash Screen.

  2. The system should boot into your BIOS setup screens at this point.

  1. Go down and select POST Behaviour from the menu on the left hand side of the screen.

  2. Open POST Behaviour and select Fastboot from the sub menu that appears.

  1. On the right hand side of the page make sure you select Thorough. DO NOT select either Minimal or Auto.

  1. click on Apply and then Exit.

  2. Your system will boot back into Windows 10 and your sound should be working normally.
