Síntomas

No se pueden tomar puntos de control de producción de la máquina virtual. El error es:

"Production checkpoints cannot be created for...".

Los respaldos fallan. El error es:

 "Production checkpoints cannot be created for..."


Los registros informan que el servicio VSS no se está ejecutando:

VMWare Servers can show "Get-VMIntegrationService -VMName "XXXX" shows lost comm for VSS".

Causa

Las actualizaciones periódicas de Windows Server y los daños en los archivos relacionados con los archivos del sistema operativo suelen contribuir a la falla del servicio de instantáneas de volumen.   

Resolución

Instrucciones:
A continuación se muestra un script diseñado para restablecer archivos para el servicio de instantáneas de volumen (VSS).
1. Copie todo lo que está debajo del borde superior hasta el borde superior superior en un archivo del bloc de notas.
2. Guarde el archivo con el nombre "RESET_VSS_SCRIPT.BAT" y ejecútelo en una ventana de comandos administrativos.
