    Description:     The remote battery for an NVRAM card is not in an usable state. The file system cannot be accessed until the fault is corrected or the NVRAM remote battery is replaced.

Causa

This alert is triggered when the system detects that the NVRAM remote battery is unreliable or unusable. The specific cause is detailed in the alert message (Info: Cause=). Possible causes include:

  • Unable to retrieve NVRAM battery status
  • Battery not detected
  • Battery not charging
  • Voltage levels critically high:
    • Battery 1 voltage: High Critical
    • Battery 2 voltage: High Critical
    • Battery 3 voltage: High Critical
  • Multiple battery failures detected

Resolución

      To resolve the issue:

      1. Check iDRAC (System Event Log) - SDPM/VOSS systems only 
      2. Inspect physical connections:

        • Ensure all cables between the NVRAM card, and the remote battery are securely connected.
        • Verify that the power cable from the system to the remote battery unit is properly seated.
        • If the system was previously powered off for an extended period of time, wait for the batteries to charge >=80%
      3. Replace faulty components:

        • If any cables are damaged or defective, replace them.
        • If all connections are intact and the alert persists, replace the remote backup battery unit.
