This article discusses how to download the Dell Security Management Server (formerly Dell Data Protection | Enterprise Edition Server) and Dell Security Management Server Virtual (formerly Dell Data Protection | Virtual Edition).

Affected Products:

  • Dell Data Protection | Virtual Edition Server

Affected Operating Systems:

  • Windows
  • Linux

Dell Security Management Server is available for Windows Server or though the VMware/Hyper-V Virtual Appliance. For more information, select the appropriate option from the list below.

  1. In a web browser, go to www.dell.com/support/home/.
  2. Click Browse all products.

  3. Click Software & Solutions.
    Product categories
  4. Click Security.
    Security
  5. Click Dell Data Security.
    Dell Data Security
  6. Click Dell Encryption.
    Dell Encryption
  7. Click Select This Product.

  8. Click Drivers & Downloads.
    Drivers and Downloads tab
  9. From the Operating system drop-down, select Windows Server [Version].

    Note: Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 x86 are only supported with Dell Data Protection | Enterprise Edition Server v9.1 or earlier.
  10. To the right of Dell Security Management Server, click Download.

    • Hyper-V: Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, or Windows Server 2019 LTSC
    • VMware: VMware ESXI 5.5, VMware ESXI 6.0, or VMware EXSI 6.5

    Note: VMware ESXI 5.1 is only supported on Dell Data Protection | Virtual Edition v9.7 and earlier.
  10. To the right of Dell Security Management Server Virtual [VMware /Hyper-V], click Download.
