Instrucciones
The MTree create timestamp is recorded in certain logs such as audit.log and messages.engineering, but the logs may be rotated and then the MTree creation information is lost.
To get the information for when the MTree created, search the MID of the MTree in autosupport. The MID for a particular MTree is the creation timestamp of this MTree in epoch format.
For example, the steps are:
The MID for this MTree is indicated above.
In the above example, verify and confirm that the above timestamp is the correct time for the MTree creation (here, the log is not rotated):
To get the information for when the MTree created, search the MID of the MTree in autosupport. The MID for a particular MTree is the creation timestamp of this MTree in epoch format.
For example, the steps are:
- Download an autosupport report from Data Domain UI > Maintenance > Support > Autosupport reports
- Search for an MTree name in the autosupport report by looking for a particular line:
7:
new_test2,1550885319,#Inode=5,nInode=18,#dir=2,#snap=0,nSid=120,dm_mtree:40000010000,1,0,400,6,0,97d86ca0,a842b328,8877b401,7ef2c2b5,2d7ee190,ced2d06b:,size=393216,RW
The MID for this MTree is indicated above.
- Convert this MID into a human readable time format. Many websites can do this. On a Linux server, run below command:
$ date -d @1550885319 Fri Feb 22 17:28:39 PST 2019
In the above example, verify and confirm that the above timestamp is the correct time for the MTree creation (here, the log is not rotated):
audit.log.6:Feb 22 17:28:39 xxxxxxxxxx -ddsh: {epoch=1550885319;id='AUDIT-DDSH-00001';desc='DDSH CLI command';level=3;user='sysadmin';role='admin';app='ddsh';host='xxxxxxxxxx';detail='cmd=mtree create /data/col1/new_test2';}
