PowerStore: Supported and Unsupported Cluster configurations

Instrucciones

Attempting to add a new appliance to an existing cluster may fail or an added appliance may show as incompatible. There are various restrictions related to the appliance mode.

Appliance Hardware Generation

There are three PowerStore hardware generations (Gen1, Gen2 and Gen3). The following are the hardware models for each generation and their supported appliance modes:

Unsupported Cluster Configurations

Except for the above supported cluster configurations, all other cluster configurations are NOT supported. The following cases are not supported:

  • Adding a Gen 1 or 2 appliance to a cluster containing Gen 3 appliances.
  • Adding a Gen 1 or 2 Unified appliance to a cluster with a Block Optimized appliance.
  • Adding a Gen 1 or 2 Block Optimized appliance to a scale-out Unified cluster.
