Instrucciones

For Security Rollups using the Avamar Installation Manager:

1. If any "fatal" errors occur during package installation look for details in the following log files:
  • /usr/local/avamar/var/avi/server_log/avinstaller.log.0
  • /data01/avamar/repo/temp/AvPlatformOsRollup_202X-RX-vX.avp_xxx/tmp/workflow.log

2. If there is a virtual accelerator in the grid that experiences problems in the MC client file browser:

a. Connect to the accelerator node using ssh.

b. Disable the firewall:

service avfirewall stop

3. If the installation pauses at task "OsRollupUpdateKernel" and reports the error "Security Rollup were not able to free enough space in /boot partition for installing kernel patches. Please do not remove running kernel and GRUB files and contact the Support Team for help.":

DO NOT remove the running kernel or GRUB files.

a. Collect the logs from the node reporting the error:

getnodelogs

b. Log in to the Avamar Utility Node node as admin, elevate to root, and collect the root bash history:

history > root-bash-history.txt

c. Create a Service Request for assistance (providing the files collected from a and b above).

4. If the installation pauses at task "BootSpaceCheck" and reports the error: "The /boot partition usage is 100%, cannot proceed with rebooting. Please try to remove *kdump and *.gz from /boot to make space. Don't remove the GRUB directories, the running kernels or the newest kernel files (except the kdump or gz files).":

DO NOT remove the running kernel or GRUB files.
