Síntomas

During the staging operation, the process failed in the NSRCLONE_PROCESSING_PHASE_TWO stage while attempting to obtain the Save Set ID and Clone ID information. The workflow identified the save set as a Block Based Backup (BBB).
As a result, the save set was skipped, and the job failed with the message "No valid input savesets - check CLONE SKIPPED SAVESETS!" indicating that no eligible save sets were available for staging.

Causa

This issue is due to a known NetWorker product limitation. The save set is a Block Based Backup (BBB) save set, and NetWorker does not support the staging or migration of BBB save sets to other volumes. Since the staging operation selected a BBB save set, NetWorker skipped it, resulting in no valid save sets being available for processing.

Resolución

Staging or migration operations (nsrclone -m) are not supported for Block Based Backup (BBB) save sets due to a product limitation in NetWorker.

As an alternative, perform a standard clone operation to copy the BBB save set to the required target volume or pool. This creates an additional copy of the save set while retaining the original copy.

If the objective is to move the data permanently from the source volume, NetWorker does not provide a supported staging or migration method for BBB save sets. The closest alternative is to create a clone copy and subsequently allow the original save set to expire according to retention policies; however, this does not provide the same functionality or guarantees as a staging operation.
