Symptômes
The Avamar 'capacity' utilization value shown in the Administrator UI dashboard may disagree with other values reported for the same Avamar server, such as the MCCLI reported utilization value and values reported by Data Protection Advisor (DPA).
From version 7.2.x, the Avamar Administrator Dashboard displays a capacity value which may reflect either metadata capacity OR the Avamar capacity, whichever is higher.
In the example below, we see "Avamar utilization" of 79.8%:
When the capacity bar is clicked, a breakdown of capacity values is provided.
Here we see that "server utilization" is 72.8% and "metadata utilization" is 79.8%.
Metadata utilization value typically only increases (and not decrease in the same way as server utilization).
For more information about this behavior, see article Avamar - The "metadata utilization" value rises but never falls.

- Server utilization reports usage levels of data containers for backups sent to the Avamar data nodes.
- Metadata utilization reports usage of the metadata containers (also known as composite stripes), which describe backup data which has been sent to a Data Domain.
Metadata utilization value typically only increases (and not decrease in the same way as server utilization).

Cause
The Avamar Dashboard shows both the Avamar and Metadata capacity in one bar. It picks up the highest utilization of the two and displays that in the Dashboard.
