Hardware failure: The interconnect module's transceiver, port, or internal components may have failed, preventing link establishment. Physical connection issue: The interconnect module may have become loose or lost proper connection with the chassis or peer module. Signal integrity issue: Electromagnetic interference, signal degradation, or poor signal quality can cause the link to drop. Firmware or software issue: Firmware corruption, driver issues, or software errors may prevent the link from being established or maintained. Configuration error: Incorrect speed, duplex, or other configuration settings may prevent proper link negotiation. Peer module issue: The peer interconnect module on the other end of the link may have failed or is not functioning properly.
