Instructions
Replacing disks in Storage via the Dell Storage Manager Client:
- In the DSM select the "Hardware" tab
- Expand the section on the left side, and go to the drawer with the failed disk
- Click the "Disks" section
- On the right side of the screen right-click on the failed disk and choose the "Replace Disk" option:
- The failed disk replacement process will start as indicated below, click on "Next":
- Follow the instructions to physically remove and after removing the failed disk and click "Next":
- Insert the new disk into the enclosure and click "Next":
- The Storage will recognize the new disk. This step may take 2 to 5 minutes, wait:
- If the disk was successfully recognized by the Storage the confirmation below will appear and you can click "Finish" to complete this activity:
- After of the replacement of the disk, send new logs through Support Assist. If you need help with the process follow this link
