Instructions
The Avamar
MCUser account is an administrative-level account used by many fundamental Avamar functions, scripts, and procedures.

It cannot be removed, nor can it be renamed.
If there is a concern about misuse, or security relating to the
MCUser account, rather than share the MCUser account to multiple Avamar Administrator personnel:

Create additional Avamar Administrator level accounts

Integrate Avamar with Active Directory or Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
- Approved employees would then have administrator-level access to Avamar and but do not not need access to
MCUser. - Once individual accounts are available for administrative staff, the
MCUseraccount can be set to a long and complex password and left unused.
