Inspiron or Vostro laptop may not generate beep sound when running audio tests in e-Diags, BIOS-diags, or ePSA.

Causa

Cirrus audio codec does not support beep sound generated in e-Diags, BIOS-diags, or ePSA.

Risoluzione

It is a design limitation that the Cirrus audio codec does not support beep sound generated in e-Diags/ BIOS-diags/ ePSA. See the following table:

How to identify codec vendor:

  1. Power on and boot to Windows Desktop.
  2. Search Sound settings in the start menu.
