This problem happens with Dell OEM Ubuntu 22.04 (Kernel 6.1.0-1006-oem) and Ubuntu 22.04.1 (Kernel 5.15.0-43-generic). Other Linux operating systems, if based on Ubuntu are likely to be impacted as well.

Causa
The Ubuntu Linux requires a Realtek USB LAN Update which is not included by default.
Risoluzione
Advise the customer to update BIOS to v1.15.0 or later, and run the following commands to update:
- Run
sudo apt updateto update sources. - Run
sudo apt install linux-firmwarestarts update 20220329.git681281e4-0ubuntu3.10 (Dell OEM Ubuntu) or 20220329.git681281e4-0ubuntu3.3 (Stock Ubuntu) to install 20220329.git681281e4-0ubuntu3.26 which contains the required fix. - Reboot the computer and verify that the problem has been resolved.
