OpenManage Enterprise log collection in 3.8 and earlier:

In the OpenManage Enterprise Web interface: 
  1. Go to Monitor 
  2. Select the Audit Logs tab 
  3. Select Export and Generate Log Bundle 
    This starts a task to generate a fresh log bundle. Once the task is complete, export the log bundle. 
  4. Select Export and Export Log Bundle


Download the console logs in a .zip file: 

  1. Extract the log bundle 
There are the following folders: 
  • Appliance 
  • Cachservice 
  • Datasyncservice 
  • Dbscript 
  • Evenetprocessingservice 
  • Metricscollectionservice 
  • Monitorservice 
  • Taskexecutionservice 
  • Tomcat 
NOTE: As outlined in this video, the primary log files used for troubleshooting OpenManage Enterprise tasks are:
  • The taskexecutionservice logs
  • The Application logs (found in the Tomcat folder)
