Alienware Command Center (AWCC) is used to control Alienware monitor LED lighting effects. An issue may occur where the AWCC installation fails or the Alienware monitor cannot be detected.
Note:
The lighting can also be changed using the Alienware monitor’s On-Screen Display (OSD).
Attempting to download the AWCC application from the Microsoft Store may fail after being unable to locate the AWCC app in the Microsoft Store. This is due to an issue with the Microsoft Store. If you encounter this issue with the Microsoft Store, download AWCC from Dell Support

Check your cable connection first, ensure that your personal computer output port is connected to the right input port.
Personal computer USB out port > Alienware Gaming Monitor USB 3.0 upstream cable > Alienware Gaming Monitor USB upstream port
Personal computer video card DP out port > Alienware Gaming Monitor DP to DP cable > Alienware Gaming Monitor DP in port
Personal computer video card HDMI out port > Alienware Gaming Monitor HDMI to HDMI cable > Alienware Gaming Monitor HDMI in port
Note: This is the same connection method for non-Alienware or non-Dell computers.
Follow the below steps to solve the Alienware monitor not getting detected under AWCC.
Install the Alienware Gaming Monitor Windows operating system driver.
Restart the personal computer when finished.
Install the Alienware Gaming Monitor Driver.
Install the AWCC.
Restart the computer when finished.
Configuring the lighting effects on an Alienware monitor is best accomplished through the Alienware Command Center (AWCC) software. In order for AWCC to function, the Alienware Gaming Monitor Driver must be installed. AWGMCCD can be downloaded from Dell Support.
Checking your computer eligibility and updating the AWCC version:
For Alienware computers:
The computer has AWCC 5.0 or later preinstalled:
Install the Alienware Gaming Monitor Driver from Dell Support. You can configure your Alienware monitor lighting through the FX available in AWCC.
The computer does not have AWCC 5.0 or later preinstalled:
Ensure that the operating system of your computer is Windows 10 R3 or later.
Windows 10 must be fully updated through Microsoft Windows 10 Update & Security.
Ensure that your Internet connection is active.
Ensure that the supplied USB cable is connected to both the Alienware monitor and the computer.
Uninstall the older version of AWCC. Then install the latest version of AWCC and Alienware Gaming Monitor Driver from Dell Support.
For non-Alienware Dell or non-Dell computers:
Ensure that the operating system of your computer is Windows 10 R3 or later.
Windows 10 must be fully updated through Microsoft Windows 10 Update & Security.
Ensure that your Internet connection is active.
Ensure that the supplied USB cable is connected to both the Alienware monitor and the computer.
Install the latest version of AWCC and Alienware Gaming Monitor Driver from Dell Support.
