Procedure

  1. Remove the two screws (M1.6x3) that secure the I/O board to the palm-rest assembly.
  2. Peel off the tape that secures the display cable to the I/O board.
  3. Disconnect the media-card reader cable from the I/O board.
  4. Open the latch and disconnect the I/O-board cable from the I/O board.
  5. Open the latch and disconnect the fingerprint-reader cable (optional) from the I/O board.

  6. Peel off the tape that secures the I/O board.
  7. Starting from the outer edge, lift the I/O board at an angle and remove the I/O board.
