Procedure

  1. Locate the password reset jumper (PSWD) on the system board.
    NOTE For more information on the location of the password reset jumper, see “System-board components”.
  2. Remove the jumper plug from the password jumper-pins.

  3. Power on without the jumper plug to clear the password.
  4. Wait until the desktop is loaded and then shut down the system and replace the jumper plug in its original location.
