Procedure

  1. Open the latch, and disconnect the fingerprint-reader cable from the power-button board.
  2. Peel the tape that secures the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
  3. Remove the two screws (M3x3) that secure the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
