Deployment modes

PowerFlex Manager is deployed in one of three modes: alerting, managed, or lifecycle.

You need a PowerFlex Manager license to deploy PowerFlex Manager in managed mode.

Mode Description
Managed Management and orchestration. PowerFlex Manager has deployed services or imported existing services for elements.
Lifecycle Monitoring, service mode, and compliance upgrade. PowerFlex Manager puts a service in lifecycle mode if the configuration has limited support. All other service operations are blocked.
Alerting Monitoring and alerting. PowerFlex Manager has not deployed services or imported existing services for elements.
