Dell EMC PowerFlex Rack Using PowerFlex Manager
View alerts
You can configure PowerFlex Manager to receive alerts from discovered PowerFlex nodes. The alerts display on the Alerts page in PowerFlex Manager.
About this task
The Alerts page shows only node alerts. It does not include PowerFlex alerts. If you configure the alert connector to include email notifications, these email notifications include both node alerts and PowerFlex alerts.
Each generated alert displays the following fields:
| Message ID | Acknowledged | Severity | Message | Category | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Contains a prefix and number that is unique to each alert | Displays an icon when the alert is acknowledged
Hover over the icon to see the user who acknowledged the alert | ![]() | Critical indicates that you should take immediate action to address the issues | Describes the event | Indicates the alert category: configuration, system health, updates, or miscellaneous |
![]() | Unknown error indicates either the action that you should take to address the issue or a recommended work-around to reduce impact | ||||
![]() | Warning indicates that you should schedule time to address the issue | ||||
![]() | Informational indicates that the event requires no action | ||||
For a list of alert messages and recommended response actions, see Alert messages and recommended actions.
PowerFlex Manager stores and displays up to 5 GB of SNMP alerts. Once this threshold is exceeded, PowerFlex Manager automatically purges the oldest data to free up space.
