Removing the coin cell battery

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the :
    1. base cover
    2. battery
  3. To remove the coin cell battery:
    1. Disconnect the coin cell battery cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Lift the coin cell battery to release from the adhesive and lift it away from the system board [2].
