NAS protection creates logs at the asset and job levels that you can download to analyze when resolving problems.
Log in to the
PowerProtect Data Manager user interface as a user with the
Administrator,
User,
Backup Administrator, or
Restore Administrator role.
On the
Jobs > Protection Jobs page, select the job that corresponds to the problem which requires troubleshooting, and then select
Export Log. The log export contains two files with consolidated logs from
PowerProtect Data Manager and the NAS protection workflow, respectively. The NAS protection log contains the logs from both the NAS agent and
NAS protection engine.
Review
nasdm.log and
Nas_sessionID.log to determine the root cause of any issue. Some of the troubleshooting guidance in this appendix uses the additional logs from the consolidated NAS protection log.
